Role & Responsibilities
- Key Responsibilities:
- Design and oversee full-stack software architecture (PLC, Edge, Cloud, Web).
- Develop and enforce robust security frameworks.
- Lead end-to-end software development for embedded and PLC-based systems.
- Contribute hands-on to Edge computing solutions and bug fixing.
- Set up testing environments and develop automated testing frameworks.
- Must-Have Qualifications:
- Proven experience designing/leading software architectures (PLC, Azure IoT Edge, Cloud, Web-UI).
- Proven experience setting up testing architecture/environments.

THE ROLE In this role, you will oversee the development of all software layers, including PLC, IoT Edge integration, IoT cloud, and Web UI, ensuring scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions for diverse industrial applications. Key responsibilities include developing and enforcing robust security frameworks across device, network, and cloud layers while collaborating with cross-functional teams—including hardware, cloud, and web development—to align on solution architecture and integration. You will also lead the development of Web UIs and APIs, ensuring seamless connectivity and user experience. YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT BY Software Architecture & Leadership – Design and oversee all software layers, including PLC, IoT Edge, IoT cloud, and Web UI, ensuring scalability and maintainability. Security & Compliance – Develop and enforce robust security frameworks across device, network, and cloud layers. End-to-End Software Development – Lead the development of software solutions for two product lines: embedded-based devices (Azure SDK on FreeRTOS) and PLC-based systems connected to IoT Edge. Hands-on Development & Bug Fixing – Contribute directly to Edge computing solutions, ensuring seamless integration of sensor data and control interfaces. Cloud & IoT Integration – Work closely with Azure IoT architects to ensure smooth integration with cloud services and APIs. Testing & Quality Assurance – Design and manage Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), end-to-end testing for embedded, PLC, and cloud systems, and Web UI validation. Testing Environments & Automation – Set up testing environments and develop automated testing frameworks for continuous validation. Cross-Functional Collaboration – Align solution architecture and integration with hardware, cloud, and web development teams. Mentorship & Team Growth – Guide and mentor team members in software development best practices, security, and emerging technologies. Technical Reviews & Feedback – Participate in technical reviews, ensuring alignment with business goals and fostering continuous improvement. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience in designing and leading software architectures spanning PLC integrations, Azure IoTEdge, cloud platforms, and Web-UI. Proven experience in setting up testing architecture and environments. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure IoT Hub, DPS, Stream analytics IoT Edge modules, and APIs. Familiarity with industrial hardware and protocols (e.g., OPC UA, MODBUS). Experience in developing robust IoT security frameworks and enforcing best practices. Familiarity with modern DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools. Nice to have: Familiarity with industrial hardware systems and embedded platforms. Experience with Stream Analytics, Azure Data Explorer (ADX), and real-time telemetry processing. Understanding of cybersecurity principles in IoT and web environments. Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and project management tools.
