This platform is designed to scale—handling millions of requests, deeply integrated with lenders and banking systems, and optimized for speed, security, and stability. Backend engineering is the heart of this mission, solving real-world problems in credit infrastructure. Requirements What You’ll Do: Build and maintain FastAPI-based microservices for core lending workflows Own and optimize PostgreSQL databases for scale and performance Develop and integrate secure, high-throughput REST APIs Deploy and monitor services on AWS (App Runner, Lambda, RDS, etc.) Collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams to deliver new features Drive backend code quality through testing , code reviews , and clean architecture Ensure data integrity, system security, and performance under load Contribute to backend roadmap, CI/CD automation, and internal tooling What We’re Looking For: 2+ years of backend development experience in a production-grade environment Deep expertise in Python (FastAPI preferred) Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, App Runner, RDS, S3, etc.) Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL , schema design, and query optimization Experience building and consuming REST APIs and integrating with 3rd-party APIs Proficiency with Git , Docker , and cloud-first engineering workflows Strong fundamentals in system design , performance tuning , and security Familiarity with async patterns , caching, and distributed systems Startup mentality: bias for action, ownership, and a collaborative attitude Nice to Have: Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, SNS/SQS) Familiarity with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline) Prior experience in fintech or regulated environments Exposure to observability tools (Datadog, CloudWatch, Prometheus)
